SAART: App-based Auditory Research and Treatment

SAART is an app for medical research of tinnitus treatment with tailor-made notched music therapy as reported in " http://www.pnas.org/content/107/3/1207.abstract " .
The app is fundamentally a music player, with real-time high-precision sound filter.
The app also measures the subjects hearing and tinnitus pitch along with psychological tests to assess the outcome of the treatment.
The app automatically sends data (usage of the music player, results of tests) to cloud-based server for medical research use.

The study is purely experimental and there is strict criteria for participating subject selection:
- The subject suffers from tinnitus for more than three months and there is no other medical cure, confirmed by specialised Otolaryngology doctor
- Those with profound hearing loss are not fit for this therapy
For this reason, the subject MUST visit one of associating medical institutes and consult an associating doctor. When approved, ID will be issued.

I am sorry to say that there are very small number of associating medical institutes (in fact at the moment there is only one, in Tokyo). Face-to-face consultation is necessary for registration, to avoid trouble and harm to the subject. Registration by e-mail etc. is not accepted.
